The laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a building for a Residential Establishment for the Elderly (ERPI) and a Home Support Service (SAD) in Lagoa took place yesterday. The ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Lagoa, Luís Encarnação, the entire structure of ADR – CCS da Quinta S. Pedro and all those associated with the project.
This new Residential Centre for the Elderly will be prepared to receive 70 users, but will also have the social response of Home Support Services prepared to support 60 users in the area of the Estômbar and Parchal Parish Union. The construction of this new facility fulfils a long-standing need for support for the elderly in this region.
