The work on the Alcântara Health Unit is completed. This renovated building will have offices for medical and nursing consultations, treatment rooms, an examination room, an oral health room, psychologist and social services, speech therapy and nutrition.
In this project, an attempt was made to reuse the existing building as much as possible, adapting it to the needs and characteristics of a Health Unit, implementing an interior courtyard to enhance natural lighting and ventilation, organizing the offices and services in two lateral volumes, with the of access and circulation of users concentrated in the central volume of the building.
The east part of the building was also renovated, with a car park and an access road for ambulances and vehicles.
