The inauguration of the Padre Cruz Neighbourhood Housing Building took place yesterday, and the event was attended by the Mayor of Lisbon, Carlos Moedas, the President of Carnide Parish Council, Fábio Sousa and the Councillor for Housing, Filipa Roseta.
During the ceremony, Carlos Moedas visited the new flats that have begun to be occupied as part of the rehousing of families in the Padre Cruz neighbourhood, and after the visit he handed over the keys to the new homes to the recipients.
It should be remembered that the construction of Lot 3 in this neighbourhood will enable the creation of 70 homes for the rehousing of the population of this region and the opening of four commercial spaces. This project is part of the urban rehabilitation programme for the masonry area of Bairro Padre Cruz, one of the largest social housing estates on the Iberian Peninsula.
